Leafblade are a progressive rock band formed in Liverpool, UK in 2003 by Sean Jude, the main songwriter, (originally from the band Valle Crucis), and
Danny Cavanagh, who is more well known for being a member of Anathema. The band has also had input from Kevin Murphy, Valle Crucis'
bassist, and Mick Reed, who was the drummer for Ship of Fools.
Their first album, 2009's Beyond, Beyond was largely acoustic but 2013's The Kiss of Spirit and Flesh saw a step-up to full-on, progressive
and orchestral arrangements.
