Frontman of the folk-indie-punk quartet The Weakerthans, and former Propagandhi bassist, John K Samson remains one of folk's best lyricists. He is
able to put feelings into words that many find difficult to do, and his descriptions and stories of characters living in the vast Canadian landscape
remain some of the best writing around today.
His first release was in the form of the album "Little Pictures" in 1993, while still a member of Propagandhi, featuring songs that starkly contrast that

releasing a new album on January 24, 2012 called "Provincial", featuring more songs about life in small town Canada similar to his "City Route 85"
and "Provincial Road 222" releases.
John K Samson remains one of indie's best writers, and will continue to with his solo work as well as his work with The Weakerthans.
