Maximo Park

Joining a long line of British indie resurgents (Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs et al), Newcastle band Maximo Park released a debut album in 2005 to modest acclaim. Heavily influenced by the Smiths and Pulp (and particularly the quirky frontmen of those groups, Morrissey and Jarvis Cocker), Paul Smith and his band had minor success with songs like 'Apply Some Pressure' and 'Going Missing'.
