Détente was an American thrash metal band from Los Angeles, California. Initially active between 1984-1989, they released one studio album before breaking up. Vocalist and frontwoman Dawn Crosby (R.I.P. 1963-1996) would go on to form another thrash metal band with alternative/gothic influences in Fear of God. The band would reform in the 2000s and release new material.
