Follow The White Rabbit is a four-piece experimental band from St. Petersburg, Russia who is currently on the independent label Delicious Music. The band crams a seemingly limitless number of influences and styles into concise tracks. Guitar work will range from a wall-of-sound approach to screaming minor-key tones via two-hand tapping to spaced out portions reminiscent of free jazz. The vocals mostly consist of screams but do vary occasionally with growls, clean sections, and harmonies. Follow The White Rabbit is a four-piece experimental band from St. Petersburg, Russia who is currently on the independent label Delicious Music. The band crams a seemingly limitless number of influences and styles into concise tracks. Guitar work will range from a wall-of-sound approach to screaming minor-key tones via two-hand tapping to spaced out portions reminiscent of free jazz. The vocals mostly consist of screams but do vary occasionally with growls, clean sections, and harmonies. The percussion is also above average, bringing in a flurry of time signatures along with frequent fills/rolls, and some jazz-like cymbal work. The bass guitar does contribute to the mix and is highly audible occasionally. The band also uses a variety of crazy, psychedelic electronic samples along with electronically-distorted vocals to make their already spastic and off-the-wall music even wackier.Their music may be best described as The Dillinger Escape Plan meets PsyOpus with a little something extra that will especially blow your mind.Their album,Follow The White Rabbit EP is available for free download on their myspace page. « hide |
