The Effort is a straight edge hardcore band that formed in 2006, playing a style of music that blends the modern youth crew sound of Boston’s late 1990’s with the social conscious lyrics of artists like Inside Out, 108, and Boy Sets Fire.
The Effort recorded a demo shortly after getting together and immediately began playing a myriad of shows. By January of 2007 the band was in the studio working on their debut EP, “Wear Your Heart” for Words of War Records.
