Torche is a Stoner metal/Sludge metal/Doom metal band from Miami, FloridaThe group was formed by Steve Brooks (ex Floor), Juan Montoya (ex Floor,ex Cavity), Jonathan Nuñez & Rick Smith (who also plays in the grindcore band Shitstorm). They have toured with Mogwai, Isis, Baroness, Jesu, The Sword, Stinking Lizaveta and Boris. [2]. Steve Brooks said that they don't consider themselves a metal band.On April 8, 2008, the band released their second full-length called Meanderthal.
