Windir was formed in 1994 by Valfar (Terje Bakken). After releasing two demos (Sogneriket and Det Glamte Riket) the first full length came out.The band has been known for their Viking Black Metal style and the lyrical themes about Valfars home region.Windir ended January 14th, 2004 due to the untimely death of Valfar.
