Unknown Mortal Orchestra is a New Zealand rock band started by singer, guitarist and songwriter Ruban Nielson and bassist Jake Portrait.Formed in 2010, the group began playing a blend of lo-fi and psychedelic rock, but has branched out by including pop and funk elements in theirsound.
