Formed in Ann Arbor, MI in 1997, Taproot has always been something different... With a unique blend of influences including Korn-esque groovy bass lines and the aggressive rap-to-screaming combo style of Spineshank, Taproot started out like many early Nu-Metal bands... primal, aggressive, emotional, yet with a heavy dose of groove... where they went from there was completely unexpected. Taproot is now a very bizarre yet beautiful band... one moment like Alice in Chains, the next like Korn, and the next like nothing you've ever heard.
