Suspyre is a 6-piece progressive power metal band formed in New Jersey, USA in 2001. While firmly rooted in progressive metal, their music
takes heavy influence from neoclassical power metal, symphonic metal, and melodic death metal. Also notable is the occasional incorporation
of saxophone in their music. On their 2012 self-titled release, the symphonic and neoclassical power metal influences have been toned down in
favor of greater jazz and classic prog influences.
