Steadman was formed Hastings in 1998, under the name - The Dharmas. They changed the name after they were dumped by Artista, and signed with frontman Simon Steadman's own label, Freeloader Recordings.
The current lineup employs lead singer Simon Steadman, guitarist James Board, bass guitarist David Walton, drummer Russel Field, and keyboardist Chris Murphy.
The band has released 2 albums so far.
