Ol' Dirty Bastard

Born Russell Tyrone Jones, Ol' Dirty Bastard (ODB) was a founding member of the Wu-Tang Clan, his erratic style of half singing, half rapping with his raspy voice led to him being known as the Ol' Dirty Bastard, as there is no father to his style. He went on to a successful solo career after the Wu-Tang Clan's debut, and was more successful than some of the Wu-tang's members with a more traditional vocal style, such as the Genius (GZA). He died of a drug overdose in a music studio in 2004.
