Kacey Musgraves is a young, gifted singer-songwriter out of East Texas who has penned songs for Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride. Musgraves' debut single "Merry Go 'Round" was a surprise hit and brought some intrigue and color to the bland and whitebread world of modern country music entertainment. Her songwriting has been hailed for its ability to engage in harsh questioning and satire of Middle American/"Heartland" culture. A very rare thing in mainstream country since the Walmart crowd is very much their target audience.
Kacey Musgraves debut album "Same Trailer Different Park" will be released on March 19th, 2013 and is already receiving comparisons to Lucinda Williams' alt-country classic "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road".
