Grave Digger is a power metal band hailing from Gladbeck, Germany. Formed in 1980, they are one of Europe's oldest, most respectedpowermetalbands. The band, currently a quintet, has released twelve albums to date and is considered one of the core members of thethrivingGerman powermetal scene. The most unique aspect of the band is the vocal efforts of frontman and founding member Chris Boltendahl,whoemploys a lowerrange shout, rather than a high falsetto, which is the norm for many power metal bands.
