Founded in 2006 by Mark Laughton and Jimmy Custo, the band went on to sell over 6,000 albumsbecoming one of the biggest bands from their local scene. The band released a song as soon as possible, thegrindcore-oriented 50 second song Rip You Apart, which displayed their more death side, with extremelylow, fast vocals in a rather George Fisher styling. Following the release of their debut album, ConversationWith The Reaper, the band began to branch out. The band was, at the time, known for intense guitar work but increasingly poor vocal performances fromMark Laughton, causing the band to opt for a more refined, progressive approach for their next release.Over the course of the 6 years with Laughton at the helm, the band released 8 albums, of which tworecieved a fair amount of praise, with 2012s Confessions Of The Reaper marking a shocking return to theirroots. However, come August 2012, the band announced that they had fired Mark Laughton for self injury, as they did not want this on their image, instead recruiting Nathan Wilson as vocalist. Drummer TommySimone soon walked out, and the band turned to using programmed drums for their first EP with the new vocalist, the universally criticised Courting Luna. Until he was fired, Laughton wrote every song and lyric. Following this, the songs were written by Custo, the lyrics by Wilson, and the band released new album One By One on 12th October 2012, with Jimmy Custo on lead guitar and Ames Robinson on bass, to extreme negative reaction, with critics considering it to have too much grunge influence « hide
