Ensiferum is a Viking / Folk metal band from Helsinki, Finland. The band label themselves as "Heroic Folk Metal". So far, the group has released four studio albums, one EP and one live DVD. They were intially led by Jari Mäenpää, who afterwards left to form his own project Wintersun.
