An alt rock band hailing from Manchester, England that not only manages to spark the imagination with their totally relaxing and enthralling sound, but also manages to convey a sense of epicness that is rather scarce in modern mainstream music today. Lead by vocalist Jimi Goodwin, and the two brothers Andy and Jez, Doves have been praised for their work right from the start with their debut Lost Souls almost beating Badly Drawn Boy for a Mercury Music Prize award. Their next album The Last Broadcast also managed to garner praise, and by the looks of their newest album Some Cities, they are not done yet.
