Daughter first started off as singer/songwriter ElenaTonra's solo venture. Based in North London, Elenajoined forceswith guitarist IgorHaefelito produce 'HisYoung Heart EP' in April 2011, to positive reviews.Further spreading theirwings,with the addition ofdrummer RemiAguilella, theband released another EPtitled 'The Wild Youth' viaCommunion Records inNovember that same year. The EP was highlyacclaimed,with manycritics praising thesongwriting efforts of ElenaTonra,and the exquisite layering of the instrumentationand vocals.Since then, Daughter have signed to accomplishedlabels 4AD and Glassnote Records. Their first true single'Smother'was released inOctober2012.
