A five piece black metal band from the small nation of
Kyrgyzstan, Darkestrah play pagan style black metal
mixed with musical instruments and techniques of their
native homeland. Their first album, Sary Oy, was a raw,
melancholic black metal album mixing melody and deep
atmosphere, while their second, Embrace of Memory,
was a more cleany produced epic black metal, not unlike
the style of pagan black metal that Graveland plays
today.
