Cancer is a British death metal band. They released three steady, mid-paced, typical death metal albums. Death Shall Rise wasthe most
known,featuring ex-Death/Obituary guitarist James Murphy. After the ill-received fourth titled Black Faith, the bandsplit up. In 2003 they
reunited andreleased an EP in 2004 followed by a new album titled spirit in Flames in 2005. In 2006, theband split up again. The same year a
new band wasfounded under the name Hail of Fire, featuring four ex-Cancer members anda new singer.
