The epic artcore style of Mostly Recycled is built on a foundation of hip hop rhythm mixed with the attitude of metal and punk, prone to gothic and electronic mood swings. joe DOE’s lyrics are intelligent and intricate - carefully crafted verses weave in and out of catchy hooks. His range of topics is a spectrum (from social-political commentary, personal struggle and corruption of the music industry to simply partying and showing love to horror movies and his fellow indie artists), sometimes sprinkled with sarcasm and dark imagery, always passionate and ultimately delivering a positive message amidst the chaos.
