Vermilion-D Alice Syndrome (initially spelled as Vermillion-D Alice Syndrome) was a melodic death/symphonic metal project from Japan. The project was essentially a continuation of multi-instrumentalist Setsuna's previous project 黒夜葬 (Black Night Burial), of which vocalist Rib:y(uhki) had also performed vocals on their last album. In April 2025, after several years of inactivity after the release of their 2018 self-titled EP, along with the announcement of a new song "Tenjo Tenge", Setsuna formally announced the end of Vermilion-D Alice Syndrome and Black Night Burial as a whole. The reason for this as explained by Setsuna was that they had already expressed everything they set out to with these projects.
