Formed in South Bay, CA under the name Sacrifice, and later changed to Vengeance Rising. The band was one of the pioneers in the Christian Metal movement. Their debut album was titled Human Sacrifice, and was followed by Once Dead. After the release of Once Dead, the band's lineup would change on every album, except for frontman Roger Martinez. In 1992, they would release their final album titled Released Upon The Earth.
