Michael Ragosta began writing songs under the moniker This Good Robot over five years ago while on tour with his former bandPatent
Pending.Seekinghelp from old friend Andrew Sclafani, TGR quickly became a full band, full time project. Friends LouDerose, Walter Mayer, and
JohnWelsh were brought into round out the fivepiece and they began writing, recording, andperforming in earnest in September of 2009.
InDecember of 2010, This Good Robotabsorbed Mania in Urbania to form an eightperson megagroup.
