The Saint Alvia Cartel

The Saint Alvia Cartel, is an Ontario supergroup punk/ska band based in Burlington. The band was founded in 2005 by Rob Pasalic (formerly of Boys Night Out) and Greg Taylor (formerly of Jersey). Although their roots are firmly planted in punk rock, the band also draws inspiration from genres as diverse as roots, rock and roll, blues, soul, dancehall reggae, country, new wave and hip hop. Although their roots are firmly planted in punk rock, the band also draws inspiration from genres as diverse as roots, rock and roll, blues, soul, dancehall reggae, country, new wave and hip hop. They released their debut album to critical acclaim in 2007. In 2008 the followup album "Between the Lines" was released to similar reception. Since then the band has shortened their name to Saint Alvia and is working on new material. Saint Alvia has been nominated for two Juno Awards, been featured in Alternative Press Magazine, had top 20 songs at Canadian radio, and have been hand picked by the artists to tour with The Gaslight Anthem, Rise Against, Bedouin Soundclash, Billy Talent, Against Me, Kevin Lyman of Warped Tour, The Bouncing Souls, Youth Brigade, and many more. « hide
