The Receiver is a symphonic "dream-prog" duo from Columbus, Ohio, USA, featuring brothers Casey and Jesse Cooper.
The beginning stages of The Receiver were originally conceived from excerpts of a senior year electronic composition project, “From the Corner
of a Room” completed by Casey at The Ohio State University School of Music in 2004. Formed in 2005, the band were picked up after only a few
live performances by New York-based Stunning Models On Display Records and released their debut album Decades in 2006 . Their sophomore
album Length Of Arms followed in 2009 through Vital Music Records. They have been featured on MTV2's 'Bands on The Rise' and have had
songs included on the FX Network's series "Dirt" as well as a number of independent shorts and films.
