The Opening Remark is an alternative Rock band coming from all over parts of Saskatchewan to form a cohesive and tight sound . They started around January 2009 with 5 members and have currently lost two but gained another. They are influenced by bands such as " As Cities Burn ", " Sunny Day Real Estate " and Brand new . Right now they only have 8 or so tracks that have been finished but they are working on getting more ready so they can put out a full lenght which is hopefully going to be done by 2010. The raw keyboard mixed with the pounding drums and soothing vocals [ free from the burden of cliche'd screams ] makes for a very powerful sound that many have been hailing as fresh and original .
