The Mad Conductor are a band from Center Valley, Pennsylvania. Their sound is very unique, but consists of influences from hip hop, funk, and reggae. The band was formed by Chris Tray (MC Devlin), formerly of the more-known hardcore punk outfit No Cash, and Dan Mckinney (MC Kinney). The Mad Conductor have been the subject of much underground praise and spent the majority of 2006-2007 on the road touring in support of their first-full length album, "Renegade Space Rock". The Mad Conductor are a band from Center Valley, Pennsylvania. Their sound is very unique, but consists of influences from hip hop, funk, and reggae. The band was formed by Chris Tray (MC Devlin), formerly of the more-known hardcore punk outfit No Cash, and Dan Mckinney (MC Kinney). The Mad Conductor have been the subject of much underground praise and spent the majority of 2006-2007 on the road touring in support of their first-full length album, "Renegade Space Rock". In early 2008, a two-song digital package "Members Only was released" before Devlin headed south to live in New Orleans that summer. It would be a year later until the Mad Conductor released the single "Cross Gates Estates" from their upcoming Central America EP, which was finally released digitally in January 2010. The EP quickly rose to #16 on Amazon.com's hip-hop download chart. The MC currently have no set plans for 2010 but hope to return to the road and continue to produce new material, and as MC Devlin assured,"I'll be there forever no matter what happens."
