Having already played hundreds of shows across the UK, some with the likes of, Ill Nino, Testament,

As the bands live and studio experience has grown, so has their song writing. Their debut release
"Hit The Dirt" showed a band still trying to find their sound, but showing promise none the less
"There's more than enough on display here to suggest that SpeedTheory will be around to lead the
British metal charge well into the next decade and beyond" (ROCKSOUND)
Their second CD "Blood Money" displayed the kind of progress expected of them, both in
musicianship and writing ability. The band had started to find their style, combining break-neck
speed with "As much melody as and mainstream outfit, but its just packed with aggression rather
than limp wristed whining" (METAL HAMMER). Although (due to the distribution company going into
administration) this album never hit the shops, SpeedTheory did do a 14 date UK/Ireland tour to
promote the release of "Blood Money" as support to LA rock/metal band My Ruin.
SpeedTheory started 2009 with a 28 date European tour with death metal legends Master(us) and
soon after returning from this tour they appeared at Hammerfest alongside Opeth, Saxon, Sepultura,
Skindred and many more. In the summer they entered the studio to record the demo "Origins" and
following this returned to Europe as a tour support to SIX Feet Under.
"It's clear from the songwriting and the instrumentation (especially the solo's) that these young-
un's will be going far" (METAL HAMMER) « hide |
