Elswick had been writing music for 10 years prior to the debut album “The Dawnseeker” in 2006. Elswick, who graduated from Brigham Young with a history
degree. Elswick is now a practicing attorney… His interest in music started at an early age and continued into high school where he was a DJ. His interest in
new age music developed as soon as he first heard Enya’s “Watermark.” The Celtic influences in Elswick’s music were further developed during a stay in
Ireland to obtain a philosophy degree from Trinity College.
Sleepthief’s music shares commonalities with artists such as Balligomingo and Delerium - organic/synthesized new age music combined with ethnic influences
and female singers.
