Silver

Silver is a Norwegian glam-punk band. The band was formed in Moi in 1996, and debuted in 2000 with the Billboard Blackout EP. They were one of the winning bands under Zoom 2000 and was sent on the following Zoom tour in Norway, England and Scotland in the spring of 2001. In 2001 they released Riot 1-2-3 EP on Virgin. The next release was the album White Diary, followed by the singles "Angels Calling", "The Sin Fix Journal" and "Funeral Class One". "Angels Calling" was a hit and was constantly played on radio and TV, yet the song never quite been accepted by the "hardcore" Silver fans. After White Diary stopped Emil Nikolaisen as drummer, and was replaced by Kim Akerholdt, who later left the band and was replaced by Jonas Thire from Amulet. May 8, 2006, the sequel album World Against World. The video for the single "The Personal Decay" was constantly played on the radio and Svisj. During the period 2001-2006 Silver played about 220 concerts at home and abroad (Germany, England, Japan, Italy, Austria, Finland, USA, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Scotland). Among these utenlandsopptredenene was a gig at Roskilde in 2004, and appearance on Italian TV. In Norway, the band performances include concerts in Harstad, Kristiansand, Rockefeller in Oslo and dairy in Sogndal. The band won this year's Alarm Price under Alarmprisen 2004 « hide
