Shihad started out in 1988 hailing from Wellington, New Zealand, before making their official base in Melbourne, Australia in1997.
They have releasedseveral albums, including a live double disc album. Shihad also periodically changed their name
to[/L]Pacifier[L] after the September 11 attacks, but are now back to their original name. Shihad started out as a raw
moremetallic industrial band, touring with bands such as Head Like a Hole but over the years have refined their own sound
to amore mainstream rock style, with exception to their Love Is The New Hate which was reminiscent of their older sound.
