Secondborn decided that they were tired of playing by the music industry’s rules and simply wanted a record that was an honest representation of what they had wanted to achieve with past bands.

Secondborn decided that they were tired of playing by the music industry’s rules and simply wanted a record that was an honest representation of what they had wanted to achieve with past bands.
Secondborn have self funded everything; including the production costs and marketing. Early on they decided to fore-go playing a lot of shows, and instead, focus on honing their songs and production to the point where they could market themselves effectively.
They've put in the hours riding in vans across the country with past groups, now these guys just want to put out a top notch record to catch the industry’s attention.
After a lot of initial buzz the band was able to fund fairly significant promotional campaigns to reach a level of market penetration similar to that of many signed artists.
With their upcoming EP, Symbols, the band hopes to finally have a record that distinguishes them, not just as artists, but also as professional musicians whose marketability can rival that of major label acts.
