What made the group stand out, by most fans and music journalists, are the strong voice, presence, and the charisma of Denisse Malebrán, former and current singer and main lyricist since Campos Finitos (2001). The group has experimented several line-up changes, included the departure of Malebrán herself and Rodrigo Aboitiz, due to internal conflicts and the desire to pursue of personal interests; despite this, Saiko has been always constantly part of the Chilean musical scene, and since 2012 the band has been comprised of the original line-up, with the comeback of Denisse and Aboitiz. « hide |
