Rued Langgaard (28 July 1893 - 10 July 1952) was a Danish composer. His music, which was largely in the late-romantic style,
did not sit well with theDanish establishment at the time. He did not achieve recognition until years after his death. His opera
Antikrist, by which he is now known, was notperformed until 1999.
