"Table ForOne". Passenger then took to the road, performing across theUnited Kingdom, the USA and Australia throughout 2007 and 2008.
However, in 2009 things changed permanently. Passenger from there on became solely singer Mike Rosenberg, dropping thealt-rock and full-
band feel of Wicked Man's Rest in favour of a mostly acoustic, sometimes collaborative effort. The firstrelease in this new era was theentirely
self-funded Wide Eyes Blind Love, released in 2009. Mike celebrated this release bytravelling to Australia in October and sharing thestage
with Lior, Elana Stone and Brian Campaeu. Mike also took tobusking on the streets as a means of raising money and gainingattention.
2010 brought two more studio albums to the Passenger table. First was Divers and Submarines, recorded in 2009 whilebusking
aroundAustralia. This album was intended as a "Fan Only" release, and continued the stripped-back, acoustic feel ofWide Eyes Blind Love.
Secondlycame Flight of the Crow, a collaborative release recorded in early 2010. It featured Rosenbergcollaborating with Australian artists he
metduring his busking escapades, including Lior, Josh Pyke, Kate Miller-Heidke, Matt Corby and [L]Philadelphia
GrandJury[/L]. This lead to a more creative, full-band type of feelreminiscent of Wicked Man's Rest. Flight of the Crow was released in late
2010.
After touring through 2011, Passenger again hit the studio in autumn to record his latest release, All The Little Lights.Recorded in
Sydney,Australia at the Linear Studios, All The Little Lights is a natural progression from everything that isPassenger, combining the dark
cynicism ofWicked Man's Rest, the folksy feel of Wide Eyes Blind Love and Divers andSubmarines, with the grandiose and epicness of Flight
of the Crow. All The Little Lights was released on the 24th of February,2012. « hide |
