Moonlit Sailor is a Swedish instrumental music group, formed in 2006 in Borås by Adam Törnblad, Joakim Wiik, Oscar Gulbrandsen
and Markus Rundlöf when the members were only 16-18 years old.
The band debuted in 2008 with the EP A Footprint of Feelings, released on the independent record label Deep Elm Records. The
following year, they issued their first full length album, So Close to Life worldwide. In spring 2010 the band headed out on a
small European tour that included the Germany, Austria, Great Britain and Finland. In August of the same year the members
appeared at the festival Close to Home in Borås.
The band played from the beginning a kind of experimental indie rock but soon switched to playing without singing . Their music
can now be classified as post-rock.
