Misery Signals was a Milwaukee-based anthemic metalcore band formed after the disbandment of several local-hardcore acts, including 7 Angels 7 Plagues, Hamartia and Compromise. The sound of Misery Signals is more often defined by their extremely tight riffing mixed with catchy, complex melodies and fluid jazz-influenced drum work (later introducing elements of string sections and ambient sound in their fourth album). They have a total of 5 LPs and a debut EP in 2003. Final Line-up: Jesse Zaraska & Karl Schubach (vocals), Kyle Johnson (bass), Branden Morgan (drums), Ryan Morgan (lead guitar), Stuart Ross (rhythm guitar).
