Alt-right chode MichaleGraves gained recognition in the 90's when he became the lead singer of The Misfits reincarnated line-up at the age of 19. He recorded two albums with them (American Psycho and Famous Monsters) and was featured on a B-sides collection (Cuts from the Crypt) before going solo. Though he and the other band members recieved some flack from older fans who insisted that the Danzig era was the only one worth listening to, Michale still proved himself a capable vocalist and energetic showman. His original solo project was Graves with fellow 'Fits drummer Dr. Chud, but the lone album they recorded had a limited pressing before Michale and Chud had a following out. Sadly, this kind of personal conflict is a common occurrence in the horrorpunk scene, which in recent years has acquired a lot of rivalries and in-fighting.Michale then teamed up with guitarist Loki, bassist JV Bastard, and drummer Paul Lifeless to form the metal-influenced band Gotham Road. They released one EP before the project was put on hiatus for creative reasons and due to Michale joining the US Marines.Michale was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps. and proceded to write and record his first true solo album entitled Punk Rock Is Dead.Michale has also recieved a lot of criticism for his personal politics, being a founding member of the Conservative Punk movement. His appearance on The Daily Show about this controversy did little more than convince his fans that he's able to laugh about the subject, and convince his detractors that they do indeed hate him. « hide
