Markus Guentner

Markus Guentner is known for his deep, atmospheric and textured ambient music, characterised by subtle but intense arcs of harmony and melody. The development of his sound already started with the first Kompakt release in 2000 (REGENSBURG EP) and the following debut album IN MOLL. From then on, the press called Guentner the “inventor of pop ambient”, which is quite justified due to the numerous performances in the pop ambient series curated by Wolfgang Voigt.
