Formerly known as The Ottoman Empire, Luna Mortis is a female fronted progressive metal band that hails from Wisconsin. They have just recently released their first studio album, the Absence. Mary's vocal style includes a power metal clean singing as well as harsher deathgrowls. The band's style can be best described as complex progressive metal, wrapped in power and melodic death metal.
