Best known as a member of boy band One Direction, Liam Payne is an English pop singer and songwriter whose style draws from electronic dance, hip-hop, and R&B. Following the end of One Direction, Payne scored a number of late-2010s solo hits such as "Strip That Down" with Quavo and "For You" with Rita Ora. After years of releasing singles, he finally collected them all on his debut solo album, LP1, which arrived in 2019 and hit the U.K. Top 20. More singles followed, including 2020's "Midnight" with Alesso and 2024's "Teardrops."
