Joell Ortiz, born July 6th, 1980, is a Puerto Rican-American hip hop artist/producer from Brooklyn, New York. Ortiz has been active as a rapper since 2002, but didn’t receive much attention until he joined Slaughterhouse. Ortiz used to be signed to Aftermath, but released an album titled The Brick (Bodega Chronicles) under Koch Records on April 24th, 2007.
