A major figure on the Quebec jazz scene, vibraphonist Jean Vanasse played in L’Orchestre Sympathique with flautist François
Richard, as well as composing for film (Erreur sur la personne). Czech double bassist Miroslav Vitous played with Weather Report,
Chick Corea and Jan Garbarek. Together, they cooked up the excellent Nouvelle cuisine album, which they presented at the
Festival in 1986 and 1989.
