Storming out of Perth, Western Australia in Mid-2012 wielding their unique brand of groove-laden Progressive Deathcore and a dynamic, blisteringly heavy stage show, Iconoclast have turned heads locally and Australia-wide. Their debut EP 'Autonomist' was crafted with the Mixing and Mastering expertise of Singapore's Roland Lim (Make them Suffer, Birds of Tokyo) and was released in late 2012 to National acclaim. Since their Inception, Iconoclast has performed alongside Bands such as Born of Osiris, Upon a Burning Body, Far West Battlefront, Make them Suffer, Stories, Saviour, Paradise in Exile, Common Bond, Anchored, I, Valiance and Storm the Sky. "Autonomist" contains a strong death metal foundation which is peppered by elements of hardcore and grind and layered with spacey guitar leads, guitar solos and bouncy, aggressive breakdowns. The lyrics are an allegory covering a tale of Oppression, Dissidence, Uprising and Liberation constructed to inspire thought in the listener and to convey a strong, loud wake up call. Iconoclast will yell their message of social awareness and change into your face until it sticks. « hide
