Gene Pitney was one of America's most persistantly successful and resiliant rock and roll artists. At the time of his death aged sixty-six, Pitney
had sold countless millions of records, which included over twenty top 40 hits in the '60s alone.In 2002, he was inducted in to the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame.On April 5, 2006, Pitney was found dead in his hotel room after a show in Cardiff, Wales. Natural causes were deemed to be
responsible.
