Find a Fiend is an Alternative Pop-gressive Rock band from London. Their music can be compared to Biffy Clyro, A Perfect Circle, Foo Fighters, Thrice, Silverchair, Porcupine Tree, and Fightstar. Find a Fiend was originally conceived as Chilean-born Eduardo Carrasco’s solo project. The necessity to shape various songs of his authorship in an album made him consider his ex partner in the dissolved band Sinestesia, Pepe Lastarria, as the producer. Their long-time friendship and the latter’s independent experience in the same position (Rama, Drogatones, Humana, Sophia the Ocean, Portugal, among others) were key factors in the choosing of the sound sculptor. This was a process that wasn’t quite exempt from complications and creative twists but the outcome finally saw the light in August 2008. FaF debut album became evidence of a creative and learning process for both Carrasco and Lastarria that culminated in 10 independently produced tracks, under the wing of La Somba Records and represented visually by Chris Leskovsek from Nada Means Nothing (Octopus, The Datsuns, Reel Big Fish, Poison the Well, among others). Shortly after finishing the album, Eduardo relocated to London, UK, where he began the search for like-minded musicians to materialise Find a Fiend as a proper band. Similar to the process of mixing the album, finding the right people was not an easy treat. After a few lineup changes, the current lineup took shape in late 2009. This lineup consists of Slovakian-born Boris Sodoma on the lead guitar, and the English rhythm section featuring Rick Wall on the bass and Mark Osborne on the drums. Currently, these four musicians have begun a new process, creating songs as a team and playing live in several renowned venues in the London scene, aiming to raise awareness of their music. « hide
