Egypt Central was formed in 2001 by vocalist John Falls. After generating buzz in their hometown ofMemphis, the bandcaught theattention of former Lava Records CEO Jason Flom. Impressed with theirdemo, he immediately offered the band arecord deal afterseeing their live performance. Their debutalbum was recorded with renowned producer Josh Abraham in LosAngeles. The band wasdropped byLava in April, 2005, and due to a shakeup within the company the album was neverreleased.
On October 5, 2007, EGYPT CENTRAL officially signed a record deal with Fat Lady Music/ILGdistributed by ADA. The originalCD hasbeen remixed and remastered with new artwork and wasreleased to retailers nationwide on January 15, 2008featuring their newsingle "You Make Me Sick".
