Doug Barton was a member of The Friday Band unoffically from 1986-1988 and offically from 1989-1990. He submitted a song called Tangerine on 1987's The Friday Band III. He offically joined the band in 1989 as the bassist following Andy Rogers' departure. His solo album was overlooked back in its release in 1988 and still is in comparison to the other members albums. His tenure in the band did not last long because after The Friday Band IV (1989) was released, the group disbanded.
